Today, I let the cold air embrace me. I watched
the blue hide between the grey and listened to
the river, almost losing myself in its black
waters. I imagined nothing but the wind and the songs of birds, surrounded by a solitary
landscape. I felt the bareness of trees deep
inside of me and felt a weight lifting with the
geese taking flight over the winter fields. And
for a while I felt nothing else.
