Nothing protects the heart like patience
Nothing protects the heart like patience. Don’t get your hopes up too fast, don’t let your fears speak too loud and don’t give your doubts too much time. Not everybody is built to handle the rough times. Don’t be surprised when you fall out with certain people. Few people understand what it means to really be there for someone. That’s the roughest part about being on a journey – you realize the ones that said they’ll ride with you are sometimes the ones are first to fall off. People make promises when the sun is shining and make excuses when the storm comes down. So, always be thankful for the rain ….it cleanses away the unnecessary. The reality is you could be amazing, genuine and sincere but still be overlooked. Sadly, people aren't real anymore. They just want reasons to complain and excuses to avoid. Having a good thing is so hard because meeting a strong person is seriously rare. I’ve learned to accept when people run from me. I know my kind of love isn’t for everyone and I’m at peace with that –

You’ll think you’re over it” she said
““You’ll think you’re over it” she said, “Even in 5 or 10 years, you haven’t heard his name in awhile and you don’t remember how his laugh sounded anymore. You aren’t tossing and turning every night with the colour of his eyes piercing your brain these days, in fact you can barely remember if they were green or blue. But it’ll hit you, straight in the gut when you’re stood at the lights waiting to see the go sign as a man passes you, a man wearing a similar scent to the one he used to wear and suddenly you’re back in his bed, led on his chest while his fingers twirled around your hair and you swore to each other that no matter what happens, you’ll never forget each other. Suddenly you’ve remembered the way he looked into your eyes while giving you a shy smile, the way his hands fit right into yours perfectly and even the pattern that his heart beat made, suddenly it all comes back. But then you hear a car horn and you’re back in reality, stood at the cross road and you realise that you never really did forget him, you just tried too hard not to remember him.””
