عجب سا ربط ہے ہم میں
نہ اک دوجے کو دیکھا ہے
نہ اک دوجے کی آوازوں میں اک دوجے کو ڈھونڈا ہے
تمہیں جو کچھ
کہا میں نے، اُسے تم سچ سمجھتے ہو
مجھے جو کچھ
کہا تم نے ، اُسے میں سچ سمجھتی ہوں

کِسی کو رُوبُرو دیکھیں
کِسی آواز کو پُوجیں
محبت کی شباہت کو

کِسی کے عکس میں ڈُھونڈیں
عجب سی یہ محبت ہے
کہ جس میں لفظ کہتے ہیں
اور آنکھیں کچھ نہیں کہتیں
یہ لفظوں سے بہلتی ہے، یہ اُن
میں سانس لیتی ہے
یہ ان بےجان تصویروں میں کتنے رنگ بھرتی ہے
عجب سا ربط ہے ہم میں
عجب سی یہ محبت ہے
جسے آواز اور تصویر سے کچھ بھی نہیں
لینا
کہ جو لفظوں کی خوشبو سے دلوں کو گنگناتی ہے
کہ جو پلکوں پہ چاہت کے ہزاروں خواب لکھتی ہے
تمہارے اور میرے درمیاں جو سانس لیتی ہے
عجب سی یہ محبت ہے
