Ramadan

AlhamdulilAh for having month of Ramadan. Being a muslim Ramadan feels like heaven on this earth. (Allah says about the fasting person), 'He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times."

A bedouin with unkempt hair came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Inform me what Allah has made compulsory for me as regards the prayers." He replied: "You have to offer perfectly the five compulsory prayers in a day and night (24 hours), unless you want to pray Nawafil." The bedouin further asked, "Inform me what Allah has made compulsory for me as regards fasting." He replied, "You have to fast during the whole month of Ramadan, unless you want to fast more as Nawafil."

- Some important things we need to follow during Ramadan.
The prophet Muhammad SAW said " who doesn't give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah isn't in need of his leaving food and drink. (Al-bukhari) The prophet PBUH also warned us "Many people who fast get nothing from their fast except hunger and thirst and many Pehli who pray at night get nothing from it except wakefulness. While fasting understand the whole picture.

Remember that fasting is not just about staying away from food. It is about striving to be a better person. And I'm so striving we are given a chance to escape the darkness of our own isolation from Allah almighty. But like the sun that sets at the end of the day, so too Ramadan will come and go, leaving only it's mark on our heart's sky.

I pray the door you've been standing at, opens this month, and the du'a you've been making, transpires from tonight. I pray that the provisions you've been seeking, are released very soon, and the Lord you've been worshipping accepts from you this month. May all of your Duas be accepted. Don't forget to keep others in your prayers too, JazakAllah kharyn.
Ramadan Mubarak 🌙
