_ The very concept of self-love seems to be misunderstood. People think self-love means ignoring a healthy diet and engulfing a whole big pizza with a so-called diet coke; lying all day on bed skipping classes and assignments because they are frustrating; watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S all night until they feel like sleeping because YOLO.
Self-love is more about taking care of ourselves rather than letting ourselves destroy our body, mind, and life. Self-love is about waking up early, doing some stretching, and eating a good breakfast. It's about reading good books so that our mind can focus on the brighter side of the life and combat the darker one. Self-love is when you do things that you don't want to do but are good for you - eating healthy, exercising daily, reading books, watching documentaries, facing your problems, admitting your faults, and making amendments.
Self-love is not about putting yourself into a coffin of comfort zone - neither it's about avoiding tough situations nor about lamenting yourself for not being capable enough - SELF-LOVE is accepting yourself as you are, and striving to bring forward a better version of yourself.
